NAME AND SHAME PLEASE BUT FOR MINOR INFRACTIONS YOU MAY NOT FEEL IS A REGULAR OCCURRENCE FOR THEMholdtheworkParticipant11/04/2016 at 9:36 amPost count: 1
Hearing of Pay Issues on a feature film late last year. Some have been paid and others have not.
Apparently its not the production company but the financiers “Vistaar Group” (based in Mumbai), who have not been forthcoming with the last lot of cash and have left a number of technicians in the lurch.
Ongoing since: December 2015 (4 Months)
No. of people affected: approx. half of the crew missing at least one week’s payment.
Please be advised when dealing with future projects with Vistaar. Has anyone else had any problems with these guys?AdminKeymaster12/05/2016 at 8:18 amPost count: 7
Thank you Holdthework, that is the kind of warning which can save a lot of suffering for people.Anonymous19/05/2016 at 12:50 pmPost count: 3
They went into administration a few months ago.
I know they were not going to pay all their creditors, so if you are doing any work for them it would seem a good idea to be paid up front.
They may stop trading soon but I know they were planning to keep going.
Nice people, its just one has to be careful under those circumstances.Anonymous19/05/2016 at 12:52 pmPost count: 3
Have introduced a system where they offer to pay you less than your invoice so that you get paid quickly
Apparently other companies do this too.
